As Creative Director since the brand's inception, I developed the initial identity including logos, typography, brand copy, website, social media and more. I subsequently directed the work of an outside agency on a brand refresh and relaunch.
My day-to-day responsibilities included the ideation and execution of B2B and B2C communications across print, web, email, social media, trade shows, video, apparel, animation, blogs and more. I sourced, directed and oversaw the work of outside contractors ranging from animators, content creators, video editors & producers, web designers, developers, printers and street teams. I managed a large and diverse library of digital assets that included photography, video, and written communication.
With seven locations currently, and more on the way, Urbn Leaf is California’s premier retail cannabis boutique. Urbn Leaf strives to offer an attainable luxury experience for all. The brand is sophisticated and refined without ever being stuffy or exclusive. As a young company in an adolescent industry, Urbn Leaf is a growing and evolving brand.
As the Senior Graphic Designer at Urbn Leaf I was charged with for designing and art directing campaigns and creative deliverables that were on-brand while continuing to define and expand the point of view and personality. Deliverables included print-ad campaigns, website, photoshoots, billboards and posters. Working directly with senior leadership I was responsible for concepting, pitching and delivering nimble, innovative, creative solutions that defined the brand-voice and sought to chart a course through an ever changing market space.

A purpose-driven brand committed to honoring the true spirit of cannabis, Jetty Extracts makes tested, pure and licensed oils and concentrates while maintaining ongoing community outreach in support of cancer patients, Pride, beach cleanups and other community causes.
In my role as Senior Art Director, I was responsible for steering the overall brand direction as well as creating cross-channel campaigns for new product launches, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and events including trade shows and music festivals. Additionally, I was tasked with photography, designing packaging, collateral, marketing communications, apparel and environmental graphics.
ASICS is an acronym derived from the Latin phrase, Anima Sana In Corpore Sano – a sound mind in a sound body. The iconic brand, founded in post-war Japan, in the living room of Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka’s Kobe home, pledges to bring harmony to the body and soul by striving to build upon their technological advances and pushing the limits on what they can learn from the body and its needs in athletic gear.
I worked on the ASICS brand both as a production artist at Vitro, creating print ads, banners ads, web takeovers, and OOH displays; and as a graphic designer at Red Door Interactive where I was tasked with designing emails, product landing pages and social media posts.
Electra Bicycle Company is the leading lifestyle bicycle brand in the U.S. and quickly expanding throughout Europe, Asia, and Latin America. I was an in house graphic designer at Electra in 2014 and 2015. While there, I helped to shape the creative direction of the iconic brand by creating and producing designs for catalogs, apparel, packaging, trade shows, bike graphics, and collateral, building on the brand’s history, while adhering to graphic standards
Perfect Bar is a family-business success story. Based on their father’s recipe of organic peanut butter, honey and ground super-foods, the Keith children have grown the business in to a national loved, organic, non-GMO, gluten free, kosher, refrigerated protein bar. As a contract graphic designer at Perfect Bar, I was responsible for creating packaging, business cards, letterhead, coupons, banner ads, social media assets and sales tools.
The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System hired Miriello Grafico to design the graphics for their new line of buses. As part of the process, I was tasked with designing and producing the logo and graphics for the vehicles and bus stop pylons. The goal was to create a visual language that expressed quickness and modernity in a clean, easily digestible style.
Alaska Communications is Alaska’s leading broadband and managed IT service provider. They are a trusted partner for businesses, schools, health care providers, state and local governments. Alaska Communications is built on a string of firsts in Alaska — the first Internet service provider, the first Metro Ethernet, and the first provider of next-generation communications platforms. As the lead production artist on the Alaska Communications account for Vitro, I was a responsible for creating press and screen ready files for all deliverables as well as much of the graphic design for print ads, postcards, printed collateral materials, emails, OOH, and style guides.
Established in 1966, Toyo Tire U.S.A. represents innovation, quality, performance, and excellent service, with a complete selection of premium replacement tires for nearly every make and model including light trucks, SUVs, high performance cars, and luxury vehicles. The challenger brand has been a client of Vitro for several years.
My role as a production artist, working on the Toyo account, included creating press and screen ready files for print ads, and collateral materials, as well as digital assets for banner ads and site takeovers. I worked on several campaigns, including Ken Block, and the much lauded The Ferret project.
San Diego Beer Week is a county wide, 10 day festival attracting beer enthusiasts from around the globe by showcasing the best of San Diego’s beer making. I designed broadsheets and bar coasters trumpeting the festival to be displayed in local watering holes in the weeks preceding the event. Additionally, I designed a one-page, parallaxing site; the centerpiece of which is an interactive, map-based infographic highlighting Brewers Guild member establishments. Additionally, there is a calendar of up-coming member events, information about the guild, and forms to contact and join.
Analog Tattoo Arts Kolective is a cutting edge tattoo shop in San Francisco. It is also the home of Bloodwork Books which publishes large format coffee table books on the art and culture of tattooing. With a stable of 5 internationally known tattooers, the bar for creativity at Analog is set very high. My involvement with the Kolective dates back to 2004 when I began documenting the tattooers and their work for our first publishing effort, 2006’s Full Coverage. Since that time my role has expanded to include overseeing photography for the shop and the book publishing, as well as art directing and designing everything from postcards to t-shirts, to short films. It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with such a motivated, talented, inspirational group of people. The Kolective is my second family.
The California Transit Association hired Miriello Grafico to rebrand the entire public agency. As part of the process, I was tasked with designing and producing the posters for their annual convention.
District Freestyle Scooter Co. came to Immersive Youth Marketing to elevate their branding and advertising, to a level consummate with their product. In 8 short months, through a combination of branding, social media, print and online advertising, we were able to expand their reach exponentially. As the sole designer and art director, I was responsible for the entire creative process, from concepting, through design and production for all deliverables. As a result of our work, District raised the bar for creative advertising and branding for the entire freestyle scooter industry.
